Habitat for Humanity International (“HFHI”) is a non-profit ecumenical Christian organisation dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety. Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh (HFHB) is a relativity small operation dedicated to the eradication of substandard housing and homelessness in Bangladesh. HFHB is currently looking for interested and qualified candidates for the following position. 
Senior Manager - Programs (Based in Dhaka)
  • Participates actively in senior management team providing strategic and programmatic analysis and feedback leading to make high level decisions for the organization in achieving organizational mission of eliminating housing poverty
  • Responsible for overall program strategic and operational plans that reflects Habitat's principles and core values.
  • Responsible for leading the programs of the organization in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization by developing, planning, organizing and controlling program activities.
  • Oversee the implementation of all programs and provide effective and inspiring leadership, direction, motivation as well as stewardship to the program staffs at all levels of the organization to cultivate a team culture and develop future leaders
  • Develop new program initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization and work closely with RD & Communication department on proposal development
  • Develop and implement program evaluation strategies and framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with different stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program in order to ensure community impact, sectoral impact and societal impact
  • Lead the documentation of program including preparation of FD - 6 & FC - 1, Program reporting etc.
  • Assist National Director to represent HFHI-B with external constituency groups, including community, governmental, and non-government organizations.
  • Responsible to develop, implement and update HFHI-B’s partnership policies, procedures and guidelines in coordination with National Director and to take lead in developing partnerships
Requirements:
 The ideal person should have Master degree preferably in Economics/ Social Science /Statistics /Geography /Engineering with 7-10 years working experience including 2-3 years in senior management position of program implementation, preferably with a Development Organization, working with low income people  Fundamental understanding of low cost housing techniques    Should be capable of leading and managing a wide range of staff    Should have sound knowledge in strategic decision making  Good command on project planning and budgeting Advance skills in MS Office software  Good command in communication both in English & Bengali  Maintain a high moral character with integrity and honesty  Capacity to handle multi tasks & prioritize job responsibilities;
