- The incumbent should have experience in handing independently a shipping sales team comprising 3-4 persons.
- Candidate should have clear understanding about the shipping trade and acquainted with the ocean export/ import operations of a shipping company.
- Knows actors of the trade such as buying house, direct shippers, freight forwarders etc.
- Independently negotiate sales deal and monitor/supervise the sales negotiation of other team members to achieve their sales targeted.
- Also able to negotiate contracts, transport/handling costs with external vendors.
- Initiate frequent market visit as and when necessary.
- Candidate should have good overseas and local communication skills.
- Should have good contact with other Shipping Line, Port & Customs
- Communication with local customer & overseas offices, as well as generate and send/follow up sales leads.
- Achievement of periodical Sales target
- Ensure profitable growth of the business
- Coordination with Customer Service & Operation team regarding various issues of existing customers
- Provide regular feedback to management about current situation/status of market and update with the sales strategy of the competitors.
Educational Requirements: Masters in any field.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Freight forwarding, Shipping
Additional Job Requirements:
- Age 40 years onwards.
- Good knowledge in Computer
- Sales oriented.
