JJS wants to recruit a capable
and skilled person for the position of Extension
Worker for Project Leaser Beam supported by Helen Keller
International (HKI).
Job Nature: Contractual basis.
Educational Requirements:

Essential Criteria:
Bachelor in any subject-Diploma in
Agriculture is preferable, minimum 2/3 years working experience in NGO, especially
having experience in agriculture programming is preferable. Excellent written
and spoken ability in English, Ability to work under pressure, must have good
knowledge in Computer office package and ability to produce quality report.

Desirable Criteria:
Age should be under or equal 35. Able to drive bicycle. Women are especially
encouraged to apply.
Job responsibilities:
1.
Help to improve homestead gardening.
2.
Establishment of village model Farm.
3.
Formation of women’s food production groups.
4.
Gender awareness income generation through group market.
5.
Improved poultry Farm.
6.
Help to implement improved technology to improve livelihood through
agronomy.
7.
Assist to Conducts research in the field of agronomy.
8. Analysis and
prioritization of community and agricultural issues with the community
9. Provides agricultural instruction that is realistic in terms of
current and future job specifications.
10. Arranges sufficient contact with the work community so that the
technical competency will be maintained.
11. Actively participates in professional improvement activities
including meetings and workshops.
12. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates the work.
13. Serves as a resource person in agriculture for the entire
community.
14. Examines and
introduces and implements advanced methods of cultivation of field, garden, garden
crops.
15. Develops and
implements technology to combat pests, plant diseases and weeds.
16. Develop
agro-technical measures aimed at improving soil fertility and increase crop
yields.
17. Develops production
plans, the types and quantity of planting crops.
18. Negotiates and
drafts contracts for the purchase of seeds, seedlings and fertilizer.
19. Organizes the work on the cultivation of high
quality seeds and planting material, establishment of seed banks.
20. Organizes work to prepare the ground for
sowing and planting.
21. Develops measures
for preparation and application of fertilizers in the soil.
22. Organizes work on
sowing of crops.
23. Develops plans
(schedules to care for seedlings.)
24. Monitors the
performance of works in the collection, transport to storage and storage of the
harvested crop.
25. Prepare scientific
documentation and records.
26. Performs related
duties as per requirement of the project.
