Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a humanitarian organisation working for disaster response and management, cyclone preparedness, disaster relief and recovery, community based disaster preparedness, risk reduction and mitigation, etc. BDRCSis now looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position to support Vulnerability to Resilience (V2R) Project

Position: Upazila Project Organiser
Duration: 12 months(Extendable) 
Location: Upazila Level in Barguna/Patuakhali district 
No. of position: One (01)

Responsibilities: To ensure effective implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project as planned

Specific responsibilities are:

• Assist community organisers in program implementation at community level.
• Coordinate and monitor all FRP activities at the community level.
• Guide, direct and supervise the work of the community workers/mobilizes.
• In consultation with technical officers, prepare daily activity plan for each community and implement activities accordingly.
• Monitor the activities of external parties/contractors, if any, and ensure progress as per the agreed ToR or contract.
• Organise all planned trainings, awareness campaigns, community meetings and dialogues as per the timeline in the plan of action.
• Regularly report to project officer (ULO) regarding project activities in the communities.
• Contact/liaison with relevant NGOs/INGOs, government agencies and other public organisations at the sub district level as required/appropriate.
• Any other duties as assigned by the authority

Person Specifications:

• Graduate and minimum 2 years relevant experience including assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team will be given a priority.
• Adequate user level knowledge on various computer applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.
• Age not exceeding 36 years

Monthly consolidated salary : BDT- 18,500/=
