Senior Development Advisor - LE-09
The High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh is pleased to announce a job opportunity for a Senior Development Advisor with an attractive compensation and benefits package. The competition is open to citizens of Bangladesh and all persons with legal working status in Bangladesh or at the High Commission.

Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will report to the Education Sector Team Leader. Responsibilities
for this position may include but are not limited to:
  • Identify and develop new initiatives;
  • Monitor and evaluate ongoing projects;
  • Prepare memos and briefing materials for management;
  • Coordinate activities and policy engagement with other stakeholders and the Government of Bangladesh;
  • Conduct research and analysis in Bangladesh’s education sector;
  • Other tasks as required.
Qualifications and Requirements: The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Advanced degree from a government recognized university, preferably with a specialization in development studies, education, or international relations;
  • Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bangla;
  • Six (6) years of recent and relevant experience in international development programming in Bangladesh;
  • Experience in project management, including planning and design, contracting, results based management, monitoring and reporting;
  • Experience in collaborating with and managing relations with representatives of the Government of Bangladesh, foreign governments and international organizations;
  • Demonstrated practical working experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Starting Salary: 1,555,978 BDT/ year (37.5 hours/week) + paid overtime + attractive housing allowance and other benefits.
