Jagrata Juba Shangha (JJS) a Social and Environmental development organization is implementing development projects with support from different donors in the South West Coastal region of Bangladesh for the last 25 years. JJS wants to recruit a capable and skilled person for the position of Project Officer for Justice for Children Project supported by UNICEF.

Job Nature: Contractual basis.

Educational                                    Requirements:
·         Essential Criteria:
Minimum graduation in any subject, minimum 2 years working experience in NGO, excellent written and spoken ability in English, Ability to work under pressure, must have good knowledge in Computer office package and ability to produce quality report.

·         Desirable Criteria:
Age should be under or equal 40. 

Job responsibilities:
  • Technical guidance in leadership and management of the project implementation
  • Responsible for coordination with local and national stakeholders.
  • Maintain close liaison with Local Government agencies officers and elected representatives.
  • Oversee the Financial Management of the project following the guideline
  • Lead the team for strong and effective community mobilization
  • Prepare and provide  activity plans, activity reports and financial report to donor
  • Communication with finance, HR, Admin and other concerned department of the organization
  • Commission Study and assist Evaluation
  • Identify needs off the community and prepare the report
  • Facilitate field visits.
  • Maintain close contact with focal person and to update him/her on everyday progress of the project
  • He/She will prepare the monthly report, event report and case studies and send it to donor.
  • Monitor and follow up project activities. S/he will work in close contact with the concerned Officer, who will provide technical assistance in designing the monitoring format.
  • Ensure quality output of the project activities
  • Ensure the visibility of Project activities as per guideline
  • Maintain regular contacts with media agencies
  • Facilitate the monitoring, audit and evaluation team.
  • Regular update to management on project activities
  • Ensure proper utilization and storage of office equipments
