JOB ENVIRONMENT
The Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB), referred to as a Member Association (MA) here, was founded in 1953. It is an MA of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
It focuses on comprehensive sexual and reproductive health programmes. The programme covers five major areas (Adolescents, HIV/AIDS, Abortion, Advocacy and Access to SRH services to the marginalized and the under-served. FPAB is seeking a competent candidate to work its SPRINT ll project working in humanitarian situation.


Job Description / Responsibility
Key tasks:
  • Coordinate and manage the SPRINT project in the country;
  • Liaison with International agencies within the country and Government to advocate for MISP integration in the district, provincial and national plans;
  • Provide or outsource relevant technical and operational guidance on MISP implementation and audience-specific orientation sessions when and where feasible (e.g. for service providers, community health workers, programme staff and the affected population);
  • Participate in trainings programs and workshops as organized by IPPF and others;
  • Coordinate implementation of the CCTs recommendations at country level and follow up with Government and other stakeholders at program and policy and service delivery level;
  • Process and identify country level consultants for the Technical Hub at IPPF SARO and ESEAOR for capacity development;
  • Prepare programmatic and M&E updates and collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial reports;
  • Work closely with IPPF SARO and MA in coordinating sharing on the project progress;
  • Document and share best practices and human interest stories on the implementation of MISP and SRH services during emergencies;
  • Work closely with the SPRINT manager at SARO level for the implementation of the project;
  • Represent the MA in forums to advocate for the integration of the MISP and SRH in humanitarian settings;
  • Organize trainings, national and international meetings and workshops, in-country visits, prepare consultant contracts and perform other logistical tasks as required.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
  • Master degree in Social Science / Medical Graduate with MPH and other relevant subjects with a minimum working experience for 5 years in the field of Reproductive Health and Family Planning services.
Core competencies:
SRH Experience:
  • Strong understanding on human rights, gender, SRH and public health in humanitarian settings;
  • Experience in policy and advocacy work - analysis, communication and influencing. A good understanding of policy issues around SRH and humanitarian response;
  • Trained on MISP is an advantage.
Coordination skills:
  • Coordinate, communicate and collaborate with the members of the CCT and external stakeholders and actively participate in coordination meetings, providing information and raising strategic and technical issues and concerns;
  • Host regular SRH stakeholder meetings at relevant (national, sub-national/regional, local) levels to problem solve and strategize the implementation of the MISP;
  • Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently;
  • Experiences of being a part of networks/coalitions/alliances and knowledge of working in partnership with multiple stakeholders.
Reporting and M&E skills:
  • Experience project reporting, M&E and if possible in undertaking research;
  • Collect service delivery information using the MISP checklist, analyse findings with the support of the M&E officer and act on identified gaps and overlaps.
Communication skills:
  • Ensure regular communication among all levels and report back on key conclusions, challenges requiring resolution (e.g. policy or other barriers that restrict the population’s access to SRH services in emergencies) to the overall coordination mechanism (CCT). Identify synergies and gaps and avoid duplication of efforts and parallel structures;
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking);
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in government and civil society.
Salary Range: TK. 40,000/= per month
Other Benefits: In addition to salary, Annual increment & yearly 2 (Two) Festival Bonus and other benefits are applicable as per FPAB Service Rule.
