People’s Oriented Program Implementation (POPI) is a national level Non-Government Development Organization is looking for a suitable candidate for its Floating Education and Healthcare Project (FEHC). The project is supported by Learning for Life-UK (LfL) and funded by Big Lottery Fund-UK. The position is based on POPI-LfL Programme Monitoring and Evaluation Office. The programme duration is up to June 2015 with possibility of extension depends on desired progress of the projects and availability of fund.

Job Summary:
DEAO is a mid-level position based on Dhaka POPI-LfL Programme Monitoring and Evaluation Office. DEAO will work under direct supervision of Programme Manager-Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. All of his/her tasks to be completed acquiring resources and accelerate the efforts of team members according to the plan.
Key responsibilities
  • Entry of day to day progress monitoring and child tracking data into web based data management system.
  • Generate indicator based reports from online data management system. 
  • Upload all updated project documents into web based knowledge management system
  • Share the updated results of indicators with Programme Manager-MEL and Project Coordinator
  • Day to day communication with Project Coordinator to follow up the data collection status and solve data errors.
  • Prepare data collection plan and follow up data collection deadline
  • Maintain regular communication with online data management consultant to update and revise the data entry and reporting formats.
  • Receive all final validated data from Project Coordinator and preserve all data related raw records.
  • Assists Programme Manager-MEL to develop and update different data collection formats and questionnaires
  • Visit project area to follow-up the data validation process and orient the field level staff on data requirements, data definition and other clarifications.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required qualifications and competencies: (E)= Essential    (D) = Desirable
  • Master in any discipline (E)
  • At least 02 years experience in MIS and documentation (D)
  • Experienced in developing data collection formats and questionnaires (E)
  • Familiar with online data management (E)
  • Knowledge on Monitoring and Evaluation(E)
  • Fair knowledge on web based knowledge management system (D)
  • Clear understanding on UNCRC and different children related policy and laws (E
  • Computer knowledge on MS Office, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point. (E)
  • Knowledge on SPSS and other data analysis software will be treated as asset (D)
  • Ability develop data collection strategic plan (D)
  • Good Communication skills (D)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills (D)
  • Good command over written English (D)
  • Pleasant and good behavior (D)
  • Willing to take responsibilities given by authorities and any other jobs assign by the superior (D)
