Job description/ Responsibilities:

• The ‘Generation Breakthrough’ project will specifically address the linkages between GBV and SRHR and focus on primary prevention of violence and abuse.
• It will focus on adolescent and young boys and girls through education, campaigns, training and services.
• The project will be innovative and participatory, thus not only for, but also by adolescents.
• This project will be implemented by Concerned Women for Family Development (CWFD) and funded by PLAN International Bangladesh.

The Technical Officer will be responsible for the following activities:

• Grassroots level social mobilization and technical assistance to school teacher and club facilitators..
• You will assist school teachers for session conduction on GEMS (Gender Equity Management at schools) Curriculum
• You will organize group based training /workshops, etc.
• Provide ASRHR information to adolescents of schools and clubs.  .
• You will have to mobilize communities in the catchment area of schools and clubs to develop enabling environment for the  project intervention.
• You have to build a good relationship with the School Management Committees, LGIs (Upozilla Parishad and Union Parishad), local health service providers and local level officials from Ministry of Education and Ministry of Women and Children Affairs
• Organize annual school based campaign.
• Make linkage between the project and different level of stakeholders.
• Keep record of the day-to-day activity through defined format and prepare monthly workplans and report.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelor degree preferably in Social Science
• 1 to 2 years experience in the NGO Sector
• Strong communication skill and capacity of field implementation.
• Must have good facilitation skills.
• Ability to provide technical supports, facilitate demonstrations, capacity building.
• Must have good English writing skill.
• Must have willingness and ability to work and travel to very remote villages within the project area
• Must have willingness and confidence to work in a group
• Should be able to develop quick friendly relationship with adolescents and should be confident to disseminate  Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights issues

Job Nature: Contractual for 12 months. Might be extended upto 36 months depending on performance and availability of funds.

Salary Range: TK. 15,000/-

Job Location: Technical Officers will be based in any of the following locations: Dhaka, Barisal, Patuakhali, Barguna
