Agriculture Sustainable and Socio-Economic Development
Organization-ASSEDO is a non-Government non profitable voluntary
organization. The organization registered by department of social welfare and NGO
affairs bureau in Bangladesh. ASSEDO has
been working with poor, extreme poor and Marginalized people on livelihood,
food security, watsan and climate change activities. ASSEDO
currently has started Promoting Food
Security and livelihoods of Marginalized peoples of Barind Tract (PFLMB)
project in Tanore and Nachol Upazila under Chapai Nowabgonj and Rajshahi
district funded
by Oxfam. We have the following opening for the
new project.
1.Position: Project Manager-01, based at Nachol/Tanore Upazila
The Project Manager is the key position of
the project, who will lead the overall implementation of the project through coordination,
liaison and communication with donors, governments and other key stakeholders which
impacts on the lives of the poor and marginalized people living on the Barind
tract.
Major
role and responsibility:
·
Designing project interventions, Implementing and supervising of PFLMB Project towards its targeted results and
ensuring quality.
·
Develop & implement strategic plan and support monitoring and
evaluation of the project.
·
Develop Implementation plan jointly with the staff and delivered timely
and effectively to ensure sustainability of the project interventions and
achieving result.
·
Maintaining effective linkages and coordination with Government, NGOs,
networks, local leaders and stakeholders to ensure influence at different level
·
Ensure that the necessary resources are available for the project and
utilised effectively to implement high quality project for bringing positive
changes.
·
Ensure collaboration and
coordination with relevant govt. department, Research Institutes and agencies to
get the suitable technologies and services for beneficiaries.
·
Ensure outsourcing of
services for skills development training for staff and project beneficiaries
including farmers, women & youths.
·
Ensure technical services and
inputs support for project interventions.
·
Identifying opportunities, designing and implementing private sector
development initiatives (agriculture, off-farm,
business) for small scale producers.
·
Capacity building of producer groups for market
driven production and ensuring market access.
·
Designing monitoring, evaluation and learning
intervention, ensure regular data collection, analysis and reporting.
·
Ensure proper and effective utilization of project assets.
·
Supervision and capacity building of project staff and performance
management.
·
Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly and yearly project progress report
preparation
·
Maintain communication with donor as required.
Key Requirements:
§ Masters in Agriculture or relevant discipline
from any reputed University.
§ At least 5 years experience on relevant
activities in a development organization of which 3 year in a supervisory
position.
§ Understanding on capacity assessment, skills
and capacity building; developing training modules; facilitate and
deliver training , follow-up of training impact.
§ Experience in participatory ideas generation
& innovation for new program development.
§ Experience in documentation and presentation.
§
Proven knowledge on
preparation and management of budget
§
Knowledge of basic
administrative, financial and resources management;
§
Knowledge of generating
different reports;
§
Practical
knowledge/experience in commonly used computer software
§
Willing to frequent travel
to the field
Salary: Taka 28840/=
per month and other benefit as per organization rules.
2.Position:
Technical Officer (Monitoring)-01,
based at Nachol/Tanore Upazila
Major
Role & Responsibilities:
·
She/he
must be able to develop project criteria wise participants’ selection process
and method through PRA.
·
All
participants’ group wise data recorded.
·
She/he must be able to develop a
performance-monitoring plan as per project proposal.
- Develop comprehensive monitoring plan for the total project cycle in accordance to the project proposal rational
- Guide the team to ensure timely data collection, assess program results against set targets, and assist the program team to prepare and submit monthly and periodic reports.
- She/he has play an active role in developing and designing of participatory monitoring and evaluation system; develop survey tools and qualitative assessment tools for the program.
- Develop monitoring and evaluation framework of the project and explore, monitoring tools, techniques and indicators (both qualitative & quantitative) of project.
- Frequently visit the project area and perform monitoring work on project activities against key program targets, which includes collecting monitoring data through small-scale surveys/ observations/ interviews with pre-designed formats.
Educational Requirements:
- Masters degree preferably in statistics, social sciences or other relevant fields
- At least 5 years experience on relevant activities in a development organization of which 3 year in a supervisory position.
- Understanding on capacity assessment, skills and capacity building; developing training modules and monitoring tools; facilitate and deliver training , follow-up of training impact
- Experience in documentation and presentation.
- Knowledge of generating different reports;
- Practical knowledge/experience in commonly used computer software
- Ability to stay at project area.
- The incumbent must have good communication skill, willingness to drive motorcycle and make frequent field visit.
Salary for this position: Taka 19570/=

3. Position: Accountant-1, based at Nachol/Tanore
Upazila
Major
role and Responsibilities
·
To
ensure compliance of ASSEDO Financial Procedures in the operation and financial
management.
- To carry out daily financial transactions and ensure that the transactions are properly recorded.
- To prepare all documents which is required as proof for accounting and auditing regarding any financial transaction.
- To prepare staff salary and allowances, and other payments are made to project staffs on timely basis.
- To ensure GoB VAT and Tax compliance for staff benefits, procurement of goods and services and in other areas as applicable.
- In collaboration with program units, assist in the preparation, monitoring and variance analysis of budgets.
- Maintain contact with Banks and other counterparts and Prepare monthly Bank reconciliation statements.
- Preparation of monthly receipts & Payments accounts and Monthly Financial Report for respective donor and Office recording.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, formats and HO guidelines.
- Ensure extensive coordination to auditors during internal and external audit.
- Ensure that reporting deadlines are adhered to.
Administrative:
- To maintain liaison and regular contract with program personnel regarding administrative matter.
- To ensure compliance of Administrative Procedures in the operation and management.
- To establish asset and store management system at the project level.
- To ensure efficient and reliable procurement of goods and services in a transparent and accountable manner.
- To provide all logistic supports for meeting, workshop, training & orientation for project.
- To ensure compliance of ASSEDO - Human Resource Policy in the staff management.
- To establish proper documentation of staffs’ personal files and leave records..
Educational Requirements
·
Graduation
in accounting or relevant discipline
·
Minimum
4 years relevant working experience with local/national NGOs
- Must have excellent communication skills in both oral & written English.
- Sound knowledge and experience on financial management and administrative procedures
- Proficiency in use of computer Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential;
Salary for this position: Taka 19570/-

4.
Position: Field Facilitator-03, based at Nachol/Tanore Upazila
Major
role and Responsibilities:
- Project need base participant selection through PRA method
- Develop working positive relationship with community, colleagues, CBO, Local Leaders, LEPs and other GO/ NGOs.
- Sector wise producer group formation and organize training session at Participants and group level.
- Assist community people to form different producer group.
- Introduce with various participatory tools/techniques applicable in identifying problems and their solutions at community level.
- Facilitate the community people to mobilize their local resource applying local knowledge for their own development.
- Involve the community people in preparing community plan and its implementation.
- Facilitate the session to trigger community empowerment through community based approach.
- Rapport building and keep regular communication with the community people and counterpart.
- Make linkage between the project participants and different service providers.
- Regular follow up group wise project activities..
- Keep record of the day-to-day activity.
- Prepare monthly work plan and report.
- Prepare and preservation of all types of documents and reports.

Educational Requirements:
- Diploma in Agriculture or Bachelor degree or equivalent, qualification may be relaxed for highly experienced person.
Salary for this
position: Taka 10300/- per month and other
benefit as per organization rules.
4.
Position:
Support Staff-01 based at project office.
Major Responsibilities:
- To ensure and support at project office
- He/She also responsible daily basis office clean and all logistic and other documents assist to accountant as per need basis project office.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum SSC or equivalent qualification
Salary for this
position:
Taka 5150/= per month
